Mary Ann Sneed

MARY ANN SNEED Tupelo - Mary Ann Sneed, 83, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Tupelo on June 17, 1929, to Ward and Ola Belle Wilson. She was a 1947 graduate of Tupelo High School, attended MSCW, and she and her husband and best friend, Jim Sneed, owned Sneed Oil Company for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Ron Richardson officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00a.m. until service time in McFadden Hall at First Presbyterian Church. W.E. Pegues is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by a daughter, Dot Sneed Reedy (Stanley) of Brandon; two sons, Tom Sneed (Sandy) of Tupelo; and Pat Sneed (Tina) of Starkville; a sister Ruth McKee (Charles) of Tupelo; a sister-in-law, Virginia Sneed of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Tyler Sneed (Courtney) of Hanceville, Ala; Pete and Sam Sneed of Starkville; Will Sneed (Jenny) of Birmingham, Ala; Katy Sneed of Starkville; and Jessica and Justin Reedy of Brandon; great-granddaughter, Katie Sneed of Hanceville, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sneed; her parents; her brothers, Jimmy, Billy, Zerk, and George P. Wilson; and a sister, Helen Wilson. The family appreciates the loving care of her caregivers, Sylvia Lipford, Amanda Benson and Mary Garrett, over the last few months.
