Mrs. Mary E. Miller
Saltillo-Mary Esther Miller, 82, went to be with her Savior Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Baptist Memorial in New Albany. Mary was born March 11, 1937 in Arkansas to Lynn Carl and Lillian Alexander Montgomery Manning.
She was a seamstress for most of her life until she retired to stay home and raise her grandchildren. She loved her family and God more than anything. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church, where she was a faithful saint and Sunday school teacher. She loved her Sunday school class.
Mary leaves behind her husband Billy Joe Miller; one son, Billy Dale Miller (Star); one sister, Phyillis Parmes; two grandchildren who were like daughters, Marlena Scott (Jay) and Shelly Sheffield (Brent) and their mother, Cleo Hurley and her husband, Raymond; one step-granddaughter, Dawn Harden; two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Miller and Briona Sheffield; one great-grandson, Payden Sheffield; one step great-grandson, Coltin Back and one very special friend, Janet Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Slim Manning, L.A. Manning, Pete Manning, Bob Manning, Danny Manning, Harold Manning and Jimmy Manning; and her sisters, Lois, Louise and Ruby.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church.
Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Danny Robbins officiating. Graveside services will follow in Priceville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Brent Sheffield, Jay Scott, Payden Sheffield, Joe Putt, William Dillon and Paul Beam.
Honorary pallbearers will be the brotherhood of Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church.
