Mary Ann Kendall
Tupelo- Mary Ann Kendall, 90, died Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Hospice Unit of North Mississippi Medical Center. A native of Newport, Arkansas she was born October 12, 1928 to David Longnecker and Opal Merle Murphy. In 1945, she married John W. Cudd, Jr. of Dallas, Texas. She worked as a secretary in the Aerospace Engineering Industry for a number of years where she met several astronauts while working on the Gemini program and retired from an Executive Accounting Firm in New Jersey after climbing the ranks. Mary Ann traveled all across the United States while raising her family and traveled abroad for enjoyment. She loved boating, camping and California. She was a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Dallas where she served as a Lector.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Keene and her husband, Jack of Tupelo and Carol Goodyear of Guntown; one son, John Cudd, III and his wife, Terrilynn of Sterling, Colorado; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, John W. Cudd, Jr. and Philip Kendall; grandson, John W. Cudd, IV; and sister, Betty Ruth Longnecker.
