Mary Russell Foster
Mooreville- Mary Sue Foster, 73, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved people and was always smiling. Mary was born April 29, 1945 to Roy Russell and Fannie Lee Kelly Russell in Tupelo. She married Carl Ray Foster and together they raised three daughters. Before her failing health, Mary was a faithful New Hope Baptist Church member.
Mary leaves behind her beloved three daughters, Tina Floyd of Tupelo, Nancy Stafford and her husband, Jonathan of Mooreville, Carla Rodgers and her husband Scottie of Mooreville; nine grandchildren, Russ Floyd of Tupelo, Heather Smith (Jamie), Christopher West (Emily), Tanner Langford, Dakota Rushing (Lauren), Justin Rodgers all of Mooreville, Kaylie Stafford, Kelsie Stafford and Keegan Stafford; six great-grandchildren, Dayton Ellis, Cody Smith, Jamie Lee Smith, Layla West, Noah McCulley and Owen McCulley; sister Jane Swanson (Rabbit) of Tupelo; brothers, Phillip Russell (Brenda) and Mike Russell (Linda) both of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Fannie Lee Russell; husband Carl Ray Foster; sister Martha Seymore and brothers, Jerry Russell, James Russell and William "Buddy" Russell.
Services celebrating Mary's life will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Graveside services will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Russell, Kevin Walton, Terry Nichols, Reggie Russell, Mike Lott and Austin Coon.
