MARY FORD
Tupelo - Mary Ann Ford, 69, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at her residence after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born July 9, 1937 to the late Preston and Larue Whiteside Marcy. She graduated from Tupelo High School and married Edward Ford September 3, 1955. Because of her husbands military career, they enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. She enjoyed water aerobics at the Wellness Center and reading. She was a member of Tupelo Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim McMillen, Rev. Tim Tutor, and Rev. Dale Carr officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Edward "Ed" Ford of Tupelo; three daughters, Talisa Ann Newman and husband, Jim, Anita Kay Cummings, all of Greenville, S.C., and Cynthia G."Cindy" Carroll of Tupelo; two brothers-in-law, Jim Ford and wife, Peggy, of Tremont, and Rex Ford of Vinia,Ala.; six grandchildren, Matthew Maybery and wife, Dana, of Dallas, Tex., Mark Maybery and Jessica Maybery, Kimberly Cummings, Jamie cummings, all of Greenville, S.C., and Jennifer Carroll of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Mark Edward Ford.
Pallbearers will be Greg Carroll, Bill Cody, Quitman Harris, Kenny Rutledge, Roy Mann, Dwight Whitehead, and David Williams.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007.
