Mary T. Deaton

MARY T. DEATON Birmingham Ridge Community - Mary T. Deaton, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at the Countrywood Plantation. She was born July 15, 1928 to Samuel and Elizabeth Taylor. She is described by her family as a wonderful cook, avid reader and fiercely independent woman. She enjoyed her pets and flowers. She was a member of Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church. Mary was a long time public health nurse serving as an OB-GYN nurse practitioner. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include one son, Mike T. Deaton (Kim) of Birmingham Ridge Community; one grandson, Taylor Deaton of Saltillo; one brother, William Taylor of Prescott, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Deaton and one son, Hal Deaton. Visitation will be 1 - 2 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
