Mary K. "Kacky Brown
Tupelo - Mary K. "Kacky Brown, 75, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Green Houses of Traceway after an extended illness. A Houston native, she was born March 21, 1931 to the late Thomas G. and Mary Slaughter Salmon. She was a past owner of Jefferson Place and Gloster 205 Women's Apparell. She was very active in the Humane Society and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Collier officiating. Graveside services will be in Tupelo Memorial Park at 1 p.m.. with Rev. Scott Lees officiating W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Ed Perkins and wife, Carolyn, of Pontotoc, David Perkins of Grapevine, TX, and Bill Perkins and wife, Nidia, of Grapevine, TX; four grandchildren, Meghan Gilliand, of Pontotoc, Taylor Perkins of Roswell, GA, and Valerie and John Thomas of Grapevine, TX; one brother, Tommy Salmon and wife, Helen, of Destin, FL. She had a special love for her two nieces, Sally and Mary Laura, and her nephew, Griff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Salmon.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Nash, Pat Sneed, Rob Gardner, Tony Ingellis, Paul Coggins and Ken Coggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dudley Carr and Dan Nash.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and the body will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church.
