MARVIN COX Saltillo- Marvin B. Cox, 78, passed away August 3, 2014, at home with his family by his side. He was born in McNairy Community, Tenn. on December 26, 1935 to Luther L. and Rose Zettie Henry Cox. Marvin married his wife, Mary, in 1957 and soon grew their family. He loved NHRA drag racing, wrestling, watching Dr. Haggia ministry on television and camping. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday August 6, 2014, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Judd Vowell and his sons, Mr. Toney Cox and Mr. David Cox. Graveside services at 2 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery in McNairy Community, Tenn. Survivors include his wife of almost 58 years, Mary Cox; two daughters, Kathey Mashburn (Robert) of Saltillo and Lisha Woodard (Larry) of Pearl; three sons, Richie Cox (Pam), Toney Cox (Annette) and David Cox (Beth) all of Saltillo; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Pearson (Billy) of Saltillo and one brother, Freddie Cox (June) of Saltillo. He is preceded in death by his parents; three grandchildren and one brother. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday August 5, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, R. C. Cox; Jonathan Cox, Marty Cox, Wesley Cox, Coty Payne and Jeffery Jackson.
