MARTHA A. WILLIAMS

Saltillo - MARTHA A. WILLIAMS, 67, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at her residence in Saltillo after a short illness. She was born March 23, 1939 in Blue Springs to the late Lee Van and Mary Gladys Kelly Anderson. She had lived in Tupelo, Saltillo, Columbus, and Gulfport before returning to Saltillo after Hurricane Katrina. She was married to Joe P. Williams who preceded her in death Spetember 7, 1998. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of East End Baptist Church in Columbus.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Danny Wilemon and Rev. R. J. Wilemon officiating. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Dolores Kyles and husband, Wayne, of Columbus, Michelle Rood and husband, Bill, of Gilbert Airz., and Sandra Lee (Sandy) Hankins, and husband, Randy of Saltillo; one son, Joseph Michael (Mike) Williams and wife, Charlotte, of Columbus; ten grandchildren, Chris Williams of Ft. Hood, Tex., Stephanie Franklin of Tupelo, Brandy Yarbrough of Allen, Tex., Josh Garner of Columbus, Jason Harris of Saltillo, Randle Hankins of Saltillo, Becky Cox, Jessica Cox, Casey Williams, and Nathan Kyles, all of Columbus; five great-grandchildren, Aimee Cox, Andrew Franklin, Matthew Preston Williams, Makenzie Williams, and Megan Hill; her best friends Betty and James Hardy of Saltillo.

Pallbearers will be James Hardy, Craig Hardy, Benny Harris, Frank David Harrison, Larry Carney, and Gabe Mendoza.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Funeral Home
