Martha Robinson Stanford

Tupelo--Martha Robinson Stanford, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1940 in Booneville to Carl and Caty McDonald Robinson. Martha was a 1963 graduate of Corinth High School. She was a longtime resident of East Tupelo and the widow of Lawrence Stanford. They enjoyed nearly 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. Martha worked 41 years, 24 of those at Reed Manufacturing. She was a member of Camp Ground Methodist Church in Walnut and attended Living Waters Church in Eggville for many years.
Martha leaves behind her son, Perry Stanford of Tupelo; her sister, Marie James and husband, Eddie, of Baldwyn; a brother, Jody Robinson of Saltillo; a sister-in-law, Francis Burnham and husband, Jack, of Skyline; five grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a son, Alton Stanford; two brothers, James and Charles Robinson; and an infant sister.
Visitation will be 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo. Services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery.
Her grandsons and close family members will serve as pallbearers.
