Martha Stanley Easterling

Tupelo - Martha Stanley Easterling, 79, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc after an extended illness. She was born August 10, 1933, in Wister, Oklahoma. She retired from the BancorpSouth Operations Center. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was actively involved in her grandchildren's lives. She spent many an enjoyable day watching her grandchildren being involved in their activities including, baseball, tennis, cheerleading and horse showing. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Ken Anderson officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Home of Saltillo will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Carlock (Steve) of Saltillo, Michelle Porch (Joe) of Blue Springs; one sister, Louise Reeder of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Jeremy Carlock (Shannah), Keegan Porch (Charlie), Katie Young (Tyler), Chase Porch (Jordan); seven great-grandchildren, Ellie and Miles Carlock, Anisley and Ky Porch, Tatum Young, Easton and Stella Porch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dewey and Katie Atwell Stanley; one sister, Betty Grace Stanley; four brothers, Joseph, Edward, Eugene and Kenneth Stanley. Pallbearers will be Joe, Keegan and Chase Porch, Terry and Joey Stanley and Steve Carlock. Honorary pallbearer will be USAF Master Sergeant Jeremy Carlock, Downham Market, Norfolk, UK.
