MARLIN GLIDEWELL Saltillo - Marlin Glidewell, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his home. He was born in Rienzi on July 25, 1920 to John Allen and Mary Magalene Glidewell. He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Midway Garage in Saltillo. He enjoyed rook, playing the guitar and bowling in his earlier years but he always enjoyed being at his shop. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Felix Hutcheson and Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include four sons, Ronald Glidewell (Lani) of Houston, Texas, Glen Glidewell (Lisa) of Alpine, Terry Glidewell (Regina) of Saltillo and Billy Glidewell (Tammy) of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Jason Glidewell (Alexis) of Saltillo, Kevin Glidewell (Jill), Eric Glidewell (Sandi), Brandt Glidewell and Anna Kate Glidewell; great-grandchildren, Carson, Nick, Parker, Abigail, Zoe and Quinn Glidewell; sister, Zady Rogers of Rienzi. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Glidewell in 2012; his parents; four sisters; two brothers. Pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Ronnie Homan, Gene Spearman, Clyde Pitts, Michael Floyd and Mike McBrayer. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
