MARK STOGNER
Saltillo - Mark Tracy Stogner, 54, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Tylertown on November 18, 1958, to Marshall Lester and Bertie Lee Vince Stogner. He was an employee for Columbia Rope Company for eleven years. During his tenure with Columbia Rope, he was a forklift operator, worked in many other capacities especially the helicopter rope making machine and was a truck driver for eleven years prior. He loved bass fishing, riding motorcycles, watching horror movies and being a practical joker. He was a two time recipient of The Roper Jones Bass Classic Tournament and he also won several other tournaments. He attended First United Methodist Church.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 25 years, Patty Stogner of Saltillo; one daughter, Danielle Stogner of Saltillo; one son, Scott Stogner of Saltillo; two brothers, Tim Stogner (Brenda) and Eric Stogner (friend, Diane Lawson) all of Saltillo; his mother, Bertie Stogner Simmons of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Stogner, his grandparents, his mother-in-law, Maezell Prater.
Pallbearers will be John Ray Stogner, Billy Putt, Kelly Joe Vince, Brett Stogner, John Plunk and Jack Melson.
After funeral services, his family will gather at his mother?s home. Friends are invited.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
