MARK D. BAILEY
Tupelo - MARK DAVID BAILEY, 49, died Monday, November 27, 2006, at his residence. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky June 11, 1957 to the late Charley and Betty Sue Phillips Bailey. A graduate of Tupelo High School, he then went on to Mississippi State where he earned a degree in education. He had worked for over 29 years with Woodmen of the World as the area manager. Earlier, he had also taught school at Amory High School. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and drag bikes, and traveling to the Blue Ridge Parkway. He loved his grandsons, whom he lovingly called "his boys." He was a member of First Baptist Church of Verona.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bryan Collier officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Kathy Bailey; one daughter, Tracye Nance and husband, Brian, of Tupelo; two brothers, Philip Bailey and wife, Joye, of Tupelo, and Greg Bailey and wife, Mickey, of Newnan, Ga.; two grandsons, Bailey and Tanner Nance.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Terry Grubbs Bailey..
Pallbearers will be Brian Nance, David Bailey, Paul Bailey, David Castles, Bailey Haney, and William Bristow.
Visitation will continue Wednesday 12 noon until service time.
