TUPELO - Marjorie B. Farley, 92, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Traceway Green Houses Retirement Center after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Lee County to Sylvester Mallette and Elizabeth Jones Mallette. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She was a very gentle and loving lady and was loved by her family and friends. She was the widow of Q.C. Farley.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Moore and Jimmy of Pontotoc; one son, Ray Anderson and Nedra of Pontotoc; one sister, Velma Rogers of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Melanie Caples and Rodney and Matthew Moore and Nikki, all of Pontotoc; and one great-grandson, Chris Burk.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Adelle Files and Mary Water; and three brothers, William Mallette, Clyde Mallette and Neal Mallette.
Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Matt Moore, Rodney Caples, Chris Burk, Josh Mallette and Thomas Mallette.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the Saltillo Chapel.
