Tupelo - Marilyn W. Blaylock, 56, died, January 7, 2011at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and lifelong resident, she was born February 7, 1954, to Robert Wayne Foster and Dorothy J. Hill Foster. She was an assistant manager at Steak Escape in the mall for five years. She was a member of the Baptist church.
She loved her Pomeranian, Bud.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at New Faith Baptist Church in Pontotoc with Rev. Don McCutchen officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, James "Olen" Blaylock of Tupelo; her son, Tim Foster of Tupelo; six sisters, Deborah Kinsey of Rosemark, Tenn., Diane Rhynes (Jim) of New Albany, Carol Sweatman of Myrtle, Cindy Foster of Blue Springs, Betty Jo Russell (Jim) of New Albany, and Tracie Woodson (Clay) of Tupelo; her brother, David Foster (Connie) of Blue Springs; four grandchildren, Jamison Scott Foster, Nathan Lynn Foster, Ashlyn Waddel, all of Tupelo, and Brayden Robert Foster of Alabama; her step-mothers, Charlotte Foster of Blue Springs and step-mother, Linda Weeks of Houlka.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Foster Weeks, her step-father, Noel Weeks, and her father, Robert Wayne Foster.
