MARIE WARD
Chesterville - Marie Ward, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born August 11, 1930, to Shelby and Argie McCarley. She worked as a seamstress at Hunter Sadler for 21 years before retiring. Marie loved taking care of her plants, all of her many pets and reading. She was a member of Chesterville Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Wes Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Chesterville Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Charles Ward (Sandy), Janet Houston (Don), Sandra Dill (Gene) and Sally Yates (Phil); 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Reba Bourque, Shirley Hicks (Jerry), Joann Kelly and Norma Mack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis Edward "Ed" Ward and brother, RV McCarley.
Pallbearers will be Keith Ohlinger, Steven Ward, Michael Ward, Cody Street, Jonathan Wilson, Cliff Yates, Andy Parker and Caleb Parker.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
