Marie Mallette

MARIE MALLETTE   Saltillo - Marie Mallette, 87, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 11, 1928 to Carlis and Addielee Mills Thompson. She loved cooking, bingo, traveling, but most of all her grandchildren and the time she spent with them.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with speaker and singers Talmadge and Telthia Smith officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.   Survivors include three children, Harvey Mallette, Edith Mallette and Jeanette Hankins (Terry); four sisters, Marine Garrett, Corrine Culver, Lorene Holcomb and Elizabeth Carpenter; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by husband, William Harvey Mallette; sister, Pearline Rabinowitz; two brothers, Clinton and Kenneth Thompson.   Pallbearers will be Michael Mallette, Harvey Mallette, Jr., Dewayne Dickerson, Barry Garrett, Tyler Cayson, Peyton Smith and Chance Rowland.   Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
