Marie Ann Black

April 29, 1944 — July 18, 2016

Marie Ann Black, 72, passed away Monday July 18, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born April 29, 1944 to the late Jim Thomas Malone and Louise Malone Hill. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grand-mother, sister and aunt. She was a faithful member of the Tupelo Church of God. She was an inspiration and blessing to everyone that met her. She was passionate about doing for others and selflessly devoted her life to encouraging others to love each other and live a victorious life for Jesus Christ. She was a homemaker. She will be remembered by her family and dear friends for her gift as a loving, loyal and faithful friend, and for her delicious cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, going to church, and playing Bingo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tupelo Church of God with Pastor Judd Vowell, Assistant Pastor David Laman, Bro. Jack Ezell and Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Eggville Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. W. E. Pegues will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters, Pam Gumm (Jimmy), Kitty Black, and Tammy Stults (Jason); three sons, Randy Black (Laura), Andy Black (Gina), and Charlie Malone (Brittany); eight grandchildren, Laken Croft, Beau Black (Amanda), Matthew Gumm, Lexi Rock (Bub), Roman Black, Jace Stults, Jonah Stults and Rhett Stults; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Croft and Ansley Croft; three step-grandchildren, Tori Smith, Harlee Underwood, and Krystyn Nabors; one step-great-grandchild, Jaxon; three brothers, Joe Malone (Geneva), Larry Malone (Mary), and Pete Malone (Paula); one sister, Sandra Deaton(Billy) and a host of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Helen Gable and Nona Little (Bobby); one brother-in-law, Leon Black (Clara) and a special friend, Wanda Walker.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 26 years, Romie Black; her parents, Louise Malone Hill and Jim Thomas Malone; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Stella Black; an infant daughter Donna Kaye Black; two granddaughters Emily and Bethany Gumm.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Malone, Gabby Figueroa, Dewayne Jones, Gene Jones, Kevin Roberts, Mike Knox, Jerry Nanney, and Marty Rock.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Beau Black, Matthew Gumm, Roman Black, Jace Stults, Jonah Stults, Rhett Stults, Aiden Croft, Justin Malone, Jordan Malone, Cori Smith, Tim Soper and Johnny Pannell.
