SALTILLO - Marian Jones, 68, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at her home in the Euclatubba community after a sudden illness. She was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Columbiana, Ohio, to Clyde Bailey and Arlene Harrold Bailey. She was a homemaker and an income tax preparer. She was a member of Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church. She loved church activities, playing cards and Bunko, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with the Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Jerry Jones of Guntown; two daughters, Margaret Tunnell and Larry of New Albany, and Debbie Homan and Ron of Saltillo; three sons, Michael Tablack and Kathy of Tennessee, Dewayne Jones and Shelia of Saltillo, and Gene Jones and Shonda of Guntown; one sister, Carolyn Bailey of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Bailey and Dave Bailey, both of Columbiana, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Matthew Tunnell; a great-grandchild, Amber Homan; and a brother, Jim Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Homan, Daniel Tunnell, D.J. Jones, Andrew Tunnell, Cameron Jones, Jarrett Jones and Bryson Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Tablack and Zackery Tablack.
Memorials may be made to the Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
