MARGUERITE MARTIN

Tupelo ? Marguerite Easterling Martin, 92, died February 26, 2013, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. A native of Lee County, she was born March 10, 1920 to George W. and Clara Jones Easterling. She attended Cedar Hill High School, Grenada College, Northwest MS Junior College in Senatobia, where she was on the basketball team, and Draughon?s Business College in Memphis. Her working career included, Citizens State Bank, Tupelo Livestock Company and United Methodist Senior Services from which she retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo where she served as a former member of the Chancel Choir and the Belle Bennett Sunday School Class.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, in The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues, with the Reverend Jim Curtis and Rev. Colby Cuevas officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include one son, Reese Martin (Amy) of Smyrna, Georgia; one sister, Lavenia Moore of Tupelo; one niece, Debbie McGehee (Richard) of Belden; two nephews, Bob Moore (Ginny) of Colleyville, Texas and Jim Moore (Cathy) of Southlake, Texas; and her special caretaker, Freddie Morris.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Brook Martin; one brother, Les Easterling; and one sister, Rubye Sue Anglin.
