MARGIE ESTES COOK

Eggville - Margie Estes Cook, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 7, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center with her beloved family by her side. She was Executive Secretary to the President of Mid South Packers for 25 years. She then worked for Gilbert's Home Health and retired after 25 years of service. She truly enjoyed working with the elderly patients as they brought a big smile to her face each day. Margie loved animals, crafts, antiques, yard sales, and spending quality time with her family. She was a member of Mantachie Church of Christ.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Leon Willis and Minister Larry Lott officiating. A private family entombment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Mausoleum. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her sisters, Maynor Blackburn of Collierville, TN, Mary Hallman of Tupelo, Martha (Luther) Draper of Herculaneum, MO, Geneva (Chuck) Melko of Ecru; her brothers, Tommy (Myra) Estes of Mooreville, Willie Gene (Francine) Estes of Dorsey; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews that loved their Aunt Margie dearly. She is also survived by her beloved, precious dog "Lil Bit".

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, W. C. "Dub" Cook; her parents, E. H. and Verble Dozier Estes; her brothers, Harold Sullins, Howard Estes, Hugh "Dinkey" Estes, Robert Estes, Holder Estes, Hoyle Estes and Fred Estes; and her sister, Janice Estes.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Thompson, Tony Thompson, Chris Hunter, David Ford, Michael Baskett and Chuck Kvasnicka.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at the funeral home, and continued 1:00 p.m. to service time Saturday.
