Margaret Taylor

Auburn - Mary Margaret Taylor, 80, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Dogwood Plantation in Fulton after an extended illness. An Auburn Community native and lifelong resident, she was born June 17, 1931, to Virgil and Hycinth Bishop Thompson. She worked 26 years for Hunter Saddler Manufacturing, now Oxford Industries. She especially enjoyed growing and arranging flowers, helping friends with weddings and special events. She loved animals of all kinds, particularly her favorite pet poodle, Pierre. She was an active member of Auburn Baptist Church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Auburn Baptist Church with Rev. Bob ONeal officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Hallmark (Dennis)of Eggville Community and Brenda Davis (Randy) of Saltillo; her son, Dennis Taylor (Nell) of Old Union Community; her sister, Mildred Loyd (Paul) of Eggville; five grandchildren, Chris Hallmark (Holly) of Greenville, S.C. and Brent Hallmark of Tupelo, Luann Smith (Stephen) of O'Fallon, Il., Mark Taylor and Morgan Taylor, both of Old Union; six great-grandchildren, MaKayla Hallmark, Taylor Hallmark, Alyssa Hallmark, Breely Smith, Banks Smith, and Sabastian Bodhi Smith; her nephews, Mike Loyd and Thomas Loyd

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Lee (Willie) Taylor who died October 16, 1999.

Pallbearers will be Mike Loyd, Thomas Loyd, Chris Hallmark, Brent Hallmark, Mark Taylor, and Tim Howell.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time Monday at the church.
