Belden - Margaret Dean Sharpe, 86, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born February 19, 1925 to Milton Ezra and Mary Maurine Nethery Sharpe. A 1943 graduate of Mooreville High School, she then went on to work for 39 years for the Sears Corporation. Keeping her yard manicured was among the many things she most loved to do. Animals were very dear to her heart. She was a member of Belden Baptist Church where she loved spending time with her Wednesday Morning Paryer Group.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jim Holcomb and Rev. Lamoyne Sharpe officiating. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Billie K. Reagh (Hubbard C "Cotton") of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Rev. Lamoyne Sharpe (Judy) of Dacula, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, infant brother Lee, Joseph, Hugh, William Thomas Sharpe.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Jetton, David Sharpe, Ben Sharpe, Stan Williams, Walker Powell and Stanley Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lanier Pete Young and James Winters.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Belden Baptist Church Building Fund, 4121 McCullough Blvd., Belden, MS 38826.
