Ozark Community-- Margaret Johnson, 70, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at her home in Marietta. She was born June 30, 1953 to Johnnie Franks and Lorene Reece Franks. Margaret’s warm and loving nature left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Margaret’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family. She shared 35 wonderful years of marriage filled with cherished memories with her devoted husband, Bobby Johnson. Her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchild held a special place in her heart. A gifted seamstress, Margaret’s skilled hands created beautiful garments.
A woman of deep faith, Margaret was a proud member of New Beginnings Church, where she found spiritual solace and a sense of community. Her faith guided her through life’s joys and challenges, and she found fellowship with her fellow church members.
Beyond her talents and roles within her family, Margaret had a passion for the outdoors. She loved hunting and fishing, finding tranquility in the beauty of God’s creation.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Bobby Johnson; two children, Michael Ewing (Kortney) of Peacful Valley and Melissa Johnson of Ozark Community; two stepchildren, Michael Johnson of Mantachie and Joseph Johnson (Christy) of Mantachie; six grandchildren, Amzie, Nathan, Maggie, Bobby Lee, Hunter, and Layla; one great-grandchild, Isabella; one sister, Connie White (Daris) of Fairview; one brother, Mitchell Franks of Michigan; and her long-time friend, Amy Kingsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Deborah Wood; and two brothers, John Dale Franks and James Franks.
Services honoring Margaret’s life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at New Beginnings Church in Mooreville.
