Tupelo - MARGARET E. HILL, 73, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born September 17, 1934, in Sledge to the late Henry Curtis and Martha Blanche Higgs Crowley. She was a retired nurses' aide and caregiver for the elderly. She loved quilting, gardening, growing flowers, sewing, and her dog Bibbie. She enjoyed special times with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Verona.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Ben Raper and Rev. John McAllister officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Cemetery in New Albany.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Carol Garrison and Billy of New Albany and Nancy Joyce Aldridge and Jack of Mooreville; two sisters, Ruth Hatcher of Lauringburg, N.C. and Joanne McConell of Lonoke, Ark; two brothers, Ned Crowley of Memphis, Tenn. and Ed Crowley of Edall, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Curtis Wayne Hill; one granddaughter, Stephanie M. Garrison; one brother, James Ray Crowley; and one sister, Dorothy Mae Fair.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Aldridge, Craig Aldridge, Dwayne Aldridge, Chris Holloway, Kevin Lansdell, and Leroy Hatcher.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
