MAI FAUCETTE Tupelo - Mai Faucette, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at her residence. She was born December 20, 1918 to Thomas Leon and Mai Harris Pace. A graduate of Canton High School , she then went on to the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Home Economics. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tupelo. Survivors include her three children, Bob Faucette and wife Cindy , Sarah Mattox and Rick Faucette of all of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Chris Mattox and wife Teri of Nettleton, Kirby and Harris Faucette of Tupelo and Mary Frances Faucette of Oxford; one great-grandchild, Sawyer Mattox of Nettleton; one sister, Tomie Gibson of Madison; and her caregivers, Brenda Scott, Cynthia Northington, Betty Singleton, Joyce Rowe and Gail McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kirby P. Faucette; and two sisters, Lou Wells and Dot Pace. Visitation will be 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, in McFadden Hall of First Presbyterian Church. There will be a private graveside service for family. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Guatemala Water Missions, P.O. Box 1725, Tupelo, MS 38802 or Good Samaritan Free Clinic, 420 Magazine St., Tupelo, MS 38804.
