MAE HILL Beech Springs - Lottie Mae Hill, 90, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at her daughter's residence near Guntown after an extended illness. She was born August 25, 1922, in Rienzi to Edward and Lois Annie Vanderford. She was raised in Rienzi and had been a long time resident of the Beech Springs Community. She was married to Ozell Hill who preceded her in death January 1, 1995. She was a homemaker and was an avid flower gardener and especially enjoyed growing Daylilies in her flower gardens. She enjoyed watching Unity T.V. and babysitting her grandchildren. She was a charter member of Beech Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Beech Springs Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include three children, Sandra Post (Robert) of Tupelo, Gail Palmer (Charles) of Guntown and Judy Sheffield (Danny O.) of Mantachie; one sister, Katie Stanford of Tupelo; eight grandchildren, Terran Letson (David) of Unity Community, Chuck, Nathan, and Tammy Palmer all of Guntown, Ruth Ann Davidson (Mark) of Pratts Community, Ester Harris (Josh) of Tuscaloose, Alabama, Derek (Tonya) and Jacob Sheffield both of Manachie; eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Nancy Smith; six siblings, Ruth Robinson, Christine Davis, Morris Vanderford, Earl, Amos and Bill Vanderford. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be 5 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the funeral home in Saltillo.
