MABLE MORGAN

VeronaMable Burleson Morgan, 88, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born December 25, 1917 to the late Willie and Madge Mae Cumming Burleson. She was a member of the Oak Valley Christian Church. She was a longtime employee of Playcraft in Saltllo and a longtime resident of Eggville Community and for the past four years at Samaritan Gardens in Verona .

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Exel Burleson officiating.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat Robbins of Eggville; one son Bobby Hardin and wife Sarah of Eggville; and one daughter-in-law Bonnie Hardin of Tupelo; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great- grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Clovis Hardin, Hershel Bennett and later Carl "Red Morgan; one daughter Mary Starling; one son Thomas L. Hardin; two sisters Dewdrop Stone and Willie Mae Simmons; three brothers Wilburn, Erwin and Everett Burleson; two step-sisters Carrie Mae Cayson and Jewel Page.

Pallbearers will be Gary, Tim and Rodney Starling, Ben Hardin, Charles Lindsey, and James Burleson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Willingham and Chad Mangum.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jefferson Street.
