MABLE BROWN Tupelo - Mable Marine Brown, 85, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit after an extended illness. She was born December 6, 1929 in Baldwyn and grew up during the years following the great depression. For forty years, she was a seamstress with the Irwin B. Schwabe Co., which manufactured work shirts. Mable loved to garden and work in flower gardens. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Dumas. Survivors include one son, Gene Brown of the Eggville Community; two daughters, Peggy Beede (Daniel) of Silver Hill, Alabama and Rachael Patterson of the Eggville Community; two step-children, Benson Brown of Purvis and Gwen Pardin of Smyrna, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Anthony Patterson (Amy) of Mooreville, Justin Brown of Mooreville, Ashley Lollar (Joey) of Kirkville and Dillon Evans of Robertsdale, Alabama; and four great-grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Brown; one brother, L.D. Jones; and her parents. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Burial will be Sunday January 25, 2015, in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Dumas. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
