Lynette Partlow Brown

Claudia Lynette Partlow Brown, age 79, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon, Mississippi. Lynette was born October 27, 1944 in Tupelo to Buford and Irene Young Partlow. She was a graduate of Tupelo High School and then attended Itawamba Junior College (now ICC) and Mississippi University for Women (now The W). Lynette was retired from Central Services Association where she worked as a billing clerk. On May 28, 1967, she married Mike Brown who passed away September 30, 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plantersville. Lynette cherished the time she spent with family, especially her three grandchildren. She loved a good game of cards and visiting with good friends. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden.
Lynette leaves behind two children, Dawn Warren (Jim) of Brandon and Scott Brown of Plantersville; three grandchildren, Luke Warren (Bethany), Collins Warren and Sophie Warren; and a sister, Wanda Williams (Gene) of Plantersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; and her sister, Patsy Jackson.
Lynette’s family will celebrate her life with a time of visitation from 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Pegues Funeral Directors in Tupelo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Plantersville.
