Luther L. Harris
Tupelo - Luther Lyles Harris, 75, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at the North Miss. Medical Center. He was born Oct. 22, 1930, in Lafayette County to the late Clelon Eugene and Ada Elizabeth Holmes Harris. In 1958, he moved to Tupelo where he was the owner of Luther Harris Pest Control. He was a First Degree Mason and a member of the Springdale Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Carl McClain officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, of 55 years, Carrie Faye Harris; two daughters, Opal Arlene Barnett and husband, Roger, of Amory, and Donna Faye Jones and husband, Sonny, of Greenwood, Ind.; three sons, Lyles Eugene Harris of Tupelo, Riley Dale Harris and wife, Kathy, of Water Valley, and Donald Ray Harris of Mantachie; three brothers, Kyle Dean Harris and wife, Robbie, and Freddie Lee Harris and wife, LaRhonda, all of Oxford, and Ralph Harris and wife, Bobbie of Southaven; five grandchildren, T. J. Parham, Tiffany Reilly, Josh Arnold, Robbie Harris and Hannah Barnett; three stepgrandchildren, Wayne Norwood, Charles William Norwood and Jenny Norwood; three great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be T. J. Parham, Robby Harris, Charlie Norwood, Roy Dean Harris, Dereck Grice and Randy Grice. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Crump and Terry Hudson.
Visitation will be form 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
