EggvilleLuna Mae Brock, 94, died peacefully Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at her daughters residence in Tyrone, Georgia after an extended illness. A Tupelo resident for over 50 years, she was born May 19, 1911 to the late John and Mary Etta Davis. She was the widow of the late Wilburn Brock. She was a member of the Eggville Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother, loved by many and treasured by all who knew her.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Minister Leon Willis officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Smith, Opaline Grubbs and husband, F.T. Grubbs, Louise Knight and husband Ray; eight grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Billy Jean Brock; a brother, Frank Davis; a sister, Ethel Smith; and a son-in-law, Charles Smith.
Pallbearers will be Robert Knight, Jerry Brent, Kenneth Grubbs, Jeffrey Grubbs, Mike Smith, and Steve Miller.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
