Lula Clark Beaty
Tupelo - Lula Belle Clark Beaty, 80, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at her residence in Tupelo after a lengthy illness. The daughter of Dewy Weeks and Lidia McKay Weeks, she was a longtime resident of Tupelo. She was a retired employee of Krueger Inc. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tupelo, where she was very active with the Senior Adult Ministry and loved her time with her children and grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Dave Jenson and the Rev. Rick Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery west of Shannon.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Munns and Richard of Olive Branch and Bertha Patterson and Ken of Tupelo; one son, Larry Clark of Tupelo; one sister, Nellie Lindley of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Ramona Nelson and Tim, Shaunna Logan and Jerry and David Munns and Rachel, all of Olive Branch, Kendra Patterson of Denver, Colo., Shane Clark of Waco, Texas, and April Clark of Chicago, Ill.; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Leonard Clark and Cliff Beaty; one brother, Oscar Weeks; one sister, Joan Gable; and one granddaughter, Amy Clark.
Pallbearers will be Tim Nelson, Jerry Logan, David Munns, Milton Hartley, Clyde Hartley and Eugene Whiteside.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry Fund at First Baptist Church of Tupelo.
Visitation will continue today from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
