Lucille Jobe
TUPELO - Lucille Donald Jobe, 76, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at the Green Houses at Traceway Retirement Center after a long illness. She was born May 13, 1929, in Nettleton to Linden Donald and Mattie Lou Morris Donald. She had lived in Tupelo for the past 51 years. She was a 1949 graduate of Nettleton High School. She was a homemaker and a former Cub Scout den mother. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for 45 years and actively involved with the children's department. She married G.W. Jobe Jr. on Jan. 1, 1953.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Raymond Rooney Jr. officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, G.W. Jobe Jr. of Tupelo; two daughters, Martha Leigh Murphy and husband, Tommy, of Jackson, and Margaret Ree Curtis and husband, Brad, of Guadalajara, Mexico; one son, James L. Jobe and wife, Susie, of Pontotoc; three grandchildren, Zachery, Lillian and Nathan; special friend, Ruth Wilkerson and Bama Strawn, both of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy Donald and Russell Donald.
Pallbearers will be Charles Strawn, Ray Wilkerson, Tommy Murphy and Brad Curtis.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today
