LUCILLE GREGORY

Tupelo - Emma Lucille Gregory, 92, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at the Gregory Green House At Traceway which was named in her honor. A New Albany native, she was born June 1, 1914 to the late Manning and Fannie Lee Meador. She was a loving mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to Oscar Patterson Gregory, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1994. She and her late husband owned and operated a grocery store in Sherman for many years. She was a member of Gloster Street Church of Christ.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Joe Connell and Minster Chad Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Gregory, and wife, Peggy of Tupelo; Pat Gregory and wife, Nola, of Lakeland, Tenn.; one sister, Pauline Basden of Blue Springs; five grandchildren, Angie Boyette and husband, Mark, of College Grove, Tenn., Andy Gregory of Cedar Grove, Tenn., Jason Gregory of Brentwood, Tenn., Ryan Gregory and wife, Stephanie of Tupelo, and Clay Gregory and wife, Courtney, of Birmingham, Ala.; eight great-grandchildren, Liza Kate Gregory, Emma Gregory, Evan Gregory, Josh Boyette, Drew Gregory, Luke Gregory, Richard Chrestman, and Shelby Boggan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Earl Meador; two sisters, Ora and Etoil Meador; a granddaughter, Holly Chrestman; and a grandson, Bradley Michael Gregory.

Pallbearers will be David Basden, Ronnie Basden, Rickey Basden, Glen Coleman, Scott Scruggs, and Paul Kellum.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
