LUBERT W.ANGLIN

Tupelo - Lubert W. Anglin, 89, died Monday, February 26, 2007, at The Green Houses At Traceway after an extended illness. A Tishomingo County native, he was born March 9, 1917 to the late Leander and Lydda Jane Byram Anglin. In his mid teens, he moved to Lee County where he lived the rest of his life. He was a Tupelo barber for more than 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his wood working shop. He built several homes including his own cabin at Pickwick Lake and one of his homes at Lake Piamingo. He was a member of Auburn Baptist Church.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Danny Prater and Dr. Jim Futral officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Frances Lamb Anglin of Tupelo; one daughter, Linda Prater and husband, Dr. Danny Lee Prater, of Inverness; one son, Wayne Anglin and wife, Carolyn, of Holly Springs; two sisters, Earline Alexander of Tupelo, and Mary Ruth Goff of Mooreville; three grandchildren, Bonita Mendenhall and husband, Ronnie, of Brandon, Maj. Timothy Lee Prater and wife, Martha, of Parker Heights, Tex., and Michael W. Anglin and wife, Teresa, of Olive Branch; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Lee Prater, Kathryn Anne Prater, Amber Nicole Anglin, Britanie Danille Anglin and Kellie Brooke Mendenhall.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lamb, Jeff Robertson, David Duncan, James Filgo, Nathan Goff, and Bill Goff.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 1900 Dunbarton Drive, Suite 1, Jackson, MS 39216.
