LOUISE SMITH Pontotoc - Louise Smith, 67, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Lee County on October 30, 1944 to Leslie and Helen Brown. She loved her Church and Church Family and was an active and dedicated member of Buchanan Baptist Church in Ecru. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Rebel. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of over fifty years, Wesley Smith of Pontotoc; three children, Nita Hood (Richard) of Grenada, Gale McKissack (John) of Starkville and Michael Smith of Pontotoc; four grandchildren, Alan and Kyle Hood, Zac McKissack and Candace McKissack Buckley (Chris); two great-granddaughters, Presley Grace and Tyler Ann Buckley; three sisters, Margaret Dykes, Ruby Jewell Dillard (Ken) and Dianne Nobles (Tommy); one brother, Gerald Brown (Helen). She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Faye Watson. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the funeral home.
