LOUISE SHARP Shannon - Mable Louise Sharp, 89, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Shannon, she was born August 22, 1923, to Ben and Ada Christopher. She loved cooking for her family, taking care of the elderly and her grandson. She was Pentecostal by faith. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Ben Raper officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. Survivors include her grandchildren, Jimmy Brown, Robin, Laura, Billy, Bobby, and Christopher Byrd, Terry Brown, Tammy Bryant and a host of others; one sister, Myrtle Barnett; one brother, Johnny Taylor Christopher; one sister-in-law, Peggy Byrd; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Sharp; five children, Daniel Byrd, Betty Rogers, Robert Byrd, Barbara Gray and Billy Byrd, Sr.; three grandchildren.
