LOUISE KELLY Tupelo - Louise Austin Kelly, 98, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at her home in the Briar Ridge Community. She was born August 28, 1914, to Isaac Luke and Lou Ella Austin in Corinth where she spent her early years. After moving to Tupelo she met and married Woodrow W. Kelly celebrating sixty-one years of marriage. They were co-owners of Kelly's Grocery for many years. She was a charter member of Allen's Chapel Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School before her health failed. She loved to fish and work in her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a wonderful cook. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Sammy Washburn and Bro. Robert McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Gilvo Cemetery. A two hour visitation will be held prior to services. She is survived by two daughters, her primary caregiver, Shirley Turner (Joe) and Pat Barber (John) and one son, Steve Austin Kelly, one daughter-in-law, Janie Kelly (Ben Kelly, deceased) all of Tupelo; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Kelly; her parents; one son, Ben Kelly; one granddaughter, Lesa Kelly; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Kelly. Pallbearers will be Terry and Woody Turner and Jason Kelly, grandsons, Dylan, Josh and Clint Kelly, great-grandsons. Music will be provided by her grandson, Dale Kelly.
