LOUISE CREELY Tupelo - Louise Creely, 86, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit. She was born May 29, 1927, to George and Effie Curry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Creely on July 4, 1984. A cafeteria manager, she worked for numerous schools throughout Tupelo and retired at 65 but continued to work on and off till the impressive age of 70. An incredibly independent woman, she lived alone, driving herself and doing her own grocery shopping. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a member of Beech Springs Free Will Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Chris McAlilly officiating. Burial will be in Beech Springs Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one son, Ronnie Creely (Melinda) of Shannon; three grandchildren, Anna Creely, Brent Creely (Amanda) and Jacob Creely; two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Creely and Ally Creely; one sister, Eddie Wallis (Howard) of Tupelo and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Creely; one son, Lee Creely and eleven siblings. Visitation will be 3 - 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
