Louise Cody

MRS. LOUISE M. CODY Mantachie - Louise M. Cody, 87, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her home in Mantachie. She was born July 13, 1925, to Roy T. and Louella Deaton Mauldin. She was raised in Tremont but spent most of her adult life in Tupelo until moving to Mantachie in 1991. For over forty years she served as a seamstress for Bluebell Manufacturing. After retiring from Bluebell, she worked as a private nurse and caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of First Jesus Church in Mantachie. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Jacky Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include two sons, Eddy Alexander (Phyllis) of Mantachie and Hubert Cody, Jr. (Mary Sue) of Tupelo; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
