Louis Clark
Tupelo- Louis Edward Clark, 85, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Diversicare of Tupelo. A lifelong Tupelo native, Louis was born August 31, 1932 to Delton Clay and Osceola Dunn Clark. In 1950, he graduated from Tupelo High School and joined the United States Army serving in Austria during the Korean Conflict. Louis married the former Murene Langley in 1956 and together they had two children. As a hobby he and his wife enjoyed camping in their R.V. in Fulton.
After 30 years, Louis retired from Blue Bell now called Wrangler Jeans/ Vanity Fair. After his retirement he was a bus driver for 15 years with Tupelo Public School System. He was an avid Mississippi State Bulldog fan and enjoyed playing golf. Louis was a lifelong East Heights Baptist Church member.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Clark of Collierville, Tenn. and Greg Clark and his wife, Laura Leigh of Collierville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Murene Clark; two sisters, Juanita Calloway and Bettie Crockett and brother, Raymond Clark.
Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Park.
