Lorraine Davis

Tupelo - Lorraine Armstrong Davis, 84, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Boynton, Oklahoma on August 27, 1927 to Elzie Grady and Allie Armstrong. She was a 1946 Yazoo City high school graduate. She was a member of Gloster Street Church of Christ. She retired from J. C.Penney as credit manager after many years of service.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro Chad Ramsey and Bro. James Segars officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of almost 64 years, John Dillard Davis of Tupelo; two daughters, Linda Davis of Tupelo and Sandra Pitner (Wayne) of Birmingham, Al; one son, John A. Davis (Linda) of Gainesville, Fl.; five grandchildren, Nathan Pitner (Becky), Jordan Pitner, John A. Davis II (Lori), Jason Davis (Christine) and Brittany Davis; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Mary O'Neal of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Jack, David, Jason and John A. Davis, II, Nathan and Jordan Pitner and Wayne Washington.
