Shannon--Mrs. Annie Lorene Henson left her family and loved ones after a brief illness at her home on February 17, 2011. She was born April 13, 1940 in Skyline to George W. and Sally I. Horton
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Doty Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Judy Flood of the home, Angie Smith (Steve), of Jackson, Tenn., Stanley Stidham Jr. (Kim) of Shannon, one step-daughter, Mary Lindley (Charles) of Palmetto; one step-son, John Henson of Nettleton; four grandchildren, Dawn Cornelison (Sheffie) of Jackson, Tenn., Jeremie Smith (Hannah) of Jackson, Tenn., Jason Stidham (Sherry) of Shannon, Justin Stidham (Kayla) of Shannon; 13 step-grandchildren, Madonna McClain, Becky Adams (Aaron), Kathleen Christopher (Matt), Holly Dilbinan (Brian), John Henson II, Chista Henson, Colin Lindley (Jessica), Erica Ratliff (Thomas), Lindsey Miller, Jimmy Henson (Brandie), Beverly Jones (Tim), William Henson (Kourtney), and Ashley Tucker; seven great-grandchildren; twenty step-great-grandchildren, one step-daughter-in-law, one brother, Gene Horton of Kindelville, Ind.; three special nephews, James Dearmon (Dawn) of Walled Lake, Mich., Gary Horton (Wanda) of Shannon, and Terry Horton (Brenda) of Shannon; one special niece Loralee Gearhart (Bart) of Butler, Ind.; and a host of other nieces and nephews, and her very special friends at Doty Chapel Baptist Church..
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy I. Henson; one sister, four brothers, and her parents.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason, Justin, Jeremie, Sheffie, Matt, and Aaron.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
