Eggville - Lorean Baldwyn, 84, died Saturday, February 7, 2009, at her residence. A Lee County native, she was born April 3, 1924 to Andrew and Gladis Mann Phillips. She lived most of her life in the Eggville Community and was the widow of Curtis Jeff Baldwyn who preceded her in death September 6, 1978. Earlier in her life, she was a seamstress with Blue-Bell and Milam Manufacturing companies. After retiring with Action Industries, she returned to work a number of years with Richie Manufacturing in Auburn and Legends Manufacturing. She was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Eggville Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Danny Baldwyn, of Eggville; one sister, Betty Tinsley of McDonough, Georgia; one grandson, Andy Baldwyn and wife, Stephanie, of Eggville; one granddaughter, Angela Keith and husband, George, of Brewer; two great grandsons, Drew Baldwyn and George Allen Keith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one grandson, Stephen Baldwyn; three sisters, Virgie Ford, Junita Poteet and Ruby Phillips and one brother, Quinnon Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Ray Ford, Art Loyd, Phillip Poteet, Cary Carnathan, Bobby Hardin and Ben Hardin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Baldwyn and George Keith.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and will continue Tuesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
