Tupelo - Lora Marie Lowry Witt, 85, died Monday, July 24, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born November 11, 1920 in Pontotoc county to the late John Herman and Johnnie Ruth Butler Lowry. She was employed with Rockwell/Delta International and with Radiology of Tupelo. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Altusa Club and Eastern Star. She was the widow of Douglas Murry Witt has passed away in 1997. She was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Paul Brashier officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include A son-in-law, John G. Capps of Tupelo; three grandchildren, John Douglas Capps of Oxford, Jacqueline Marie Capps and Andrew Dalton Capps, both of Tupelo; and one sister, Jeanette L. West of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Witt Capps.
Pallbearers will be Peter West, Kevin West, John West, Jerry Webb, Adam West, and Kenneth Webb.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
