Lois Faulkner Lyle
Tupelo- Lois Irene Faulkner Lyle, 89, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born July 19, 1928 in Becker, Mississippi to Lonnie Faulkner and Sally Mae Powell Faulkner. She was a Becker High School Graduate and attended Nursing School at Itawamba Junior College. Lois married Billy Lyle and together they had two children. Lois was a Head Start Teacher at Lift for over 15 years. Baptist in faith, she attended Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and was a member of Okolona Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. In her free time she enjoyed her large vegetable garden. She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her daughter, Cherry Kidd of Corinth; four grandchildren, Craig Kidd, Billy Kidd, Shiloh Koon and Randi Lyle; five great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Carter and her husband, Jim of Tupelo; daughter-in-law, Nancy Lyle and nephews, Vince Carter and his wife, Annie of Tupelo and Brad Carter of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dennis Lyle and sisters, Jean, Louise and Madonna.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Chaplin Jay Stanley officiating. Burial will be at Lee Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Sunday, February 18, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
