LOIS "SIS FARRAR

Tupelo - LOIS "SIS FARRAR, 79, died Sunday, January 14, 2007, at her daughters residence after an extended illness. A Prairie native, she was born April 17, 1927 to the late Colonel and Vera Pruitt Cockrell. She was the married 52 years to Murphy Farrar who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and loving mother who was dedicated to the care of her special son, Dennis. She enjoyed sewing and working the summer garden.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Tutor officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Lazette Puckett of Tupelo; a son, Dennis Farrar of Rolling HIlls Devlopment Center, Starkville; three grandsons, Curt Frensley and wife, Jenny, Rhettford Puckett and wife, Leigh Anne, and PFC Grayson Puckett; four great grandchildren, Noah Frensley, Isabella Puckett, Peyton Puckett, Gavin Puckett, andf one step-great grandchild, Rachel Ray; one step-sister, Marilyn Hankins of San Antonia, Tex.; and several nieces and nephews in Florida and Texas..

She was preceded in death by her parents; newborn twins, Murphy Ray and Brenda Kay Farrar; and her twin brother, Loyce Cockrell.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Richie, Tommy Farrar, Tim Farrar, Curt Frensley, Rhettford Puckett and Grayson Puckett.

Visitation will continue Tuesday, noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
