Tupelo-Lisa Ann Kelley Hoard, 57, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 18, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born December 21, 1966, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to William Ray Kelley and Mary Anita Moran Kelley.
A longtime resident of North Mississippi, Lisa was known for her dedication and hard work as Dock Manager of the Daily Journal. She was a woman of many gifts and passions, finding joy in nature through camping and fishing and expressing her creativity through crafting, particularly candle-making. Lisa delighted in decorating her home for every season, cherishing moments spent with her grandchildren and her loyal companion, her dog Sadie.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Jeremy Hoard of Tupelo; two children, Billy Ray Kelley and his wife, Julia, of New Albany and Amber Dawn Ford and her husband, David, of Potts Camp; nine grandchildren, Devin Kelley, Hailey Kelley, Braxton Kelley, “Emmie” Joy Kelley, Hanna Goddard, Ethan Goddard, Mya Kizer, Aliyah Kizer, and Jackson Kizer; her father, Bill Kelley of Oklahoma; one sister, Cindy Thomas of Oklahoma; and her beloved dog, Sadie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Kelley.
Private family services will be held to honor Lisa’s memory.
